About
Technology is much more difficult for most people than it really needs to be. A lot of the trouble is that the people like me (who would have been a nerd in high school if the word had been invented yet) are systematic thinkers, but what user-centred design needs is empathizers. (See Simon-Baron Cohen’s book The Essential Difference – Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk - if want want to know more about systemizers and empathizers.) So a lot of the problems we face in user experience are because of this fundamental issue that I am calling empathetic design. This blog is going to explore this and the myriad user experience issues I stumble across every time I reach for a mouse.
