Agile, UX, UCD & IA Course Schedule & Booking Form

UxFest London

About the courses: The courses below cover a wide range of usability, user-centred design and user experience topics from a practical perspective. They are intended for a broad audience - extensive experience of usability-related topics is not required - however, familiarity with basic usability techniques is helpful for the Agile UX & UCD course.

Three places for the price of two! For every three places you book on our London courses, you will receive the lowest-cost place free. This can be done by booking multiple attendees on one course or a single attendee across several courses (or combinations thereof). The same person does not have to attend all places booked. Also, you can substitute attendees at any time. All that we require is that the bookings and subsequent payment are made as a single transaction (payment can be by credit card or invoice).

Cancellation: You can cancel places up to 4 weeks before a course without penalty - we will provide an appropriate refund. Free places and cancellations less than 2 weeks before a course cannot be refunded. 50% refunds are possible between 4 and 2 weeks before a course. If we need to cancel a course, we will provide a full refund or place(s) on other course(s), as you prefer.

Students and Charitable Organisations: We have a limited number of 'at-cost' places available. If you are a student or your organisation does charitable work, please get in touch.

Enter the number of places you need in the left-hand column and click the checkout button at the bottom of the page. Three-for-two discounts will be calculated across all courses booked at the same time.

UxFest, London WC1H 9PN
(one day each unless otherwise noted)

Our first UxFest London in 2010 was a great success. It included four courses, two from William Hudson and two by O'Reilly author James Kalbach.

For 2012, we have kept the two most popular of the original courses and added two brand new, thought-provoking, but relevant days: Agile Requirements (William Hudson) and Alignment Diagrams (James Kalbach). As before, there are special discounts for every three places booked (3 x 1 day, 1 x 3 days and other permutations) or for booking all four days. (Note that the 'UxFest Complete' price already includes the 3-for-2 discount.)

Enter the number of places you need in the left-hand column and click the checkout button at the bottom of the page. Three-for-two discounts will be calculated across all courses booked at the same time.

Courses at CHI 2012, Austix TX

We've had two courses accepted for presentation at this year's premiere HCI conference, CHI 2012 in Austin, Texas (5 - 10 May 2012).

These are half-day versions of two popular tutorials, intended primarily for practitioners of UX and UCD:

  • Card Sorting for Navigation Design (half-day)
  • Agile User Experience and UCD (half-day)

CHI conference courses are virtually free (USD $25 each to cover the cost of handouts) but you have to be registered for the conference itself. Visit the CHI 2012 conference web site to view the 30+ courses available at the conference (note: you can view just the two courses above by visiting the conference courses page and searching on 'hudson').
