The Springboard Women's Development Programme won a National Training Award for quality and excellence. It is designed to enable women to reach their full potential by analysing their skills, values, qualities, setting goals for themselves and then achieving them.
In a recently published major survey, Personal Development Has Legs, including feedback from participants in Springboard over a 10-year period:
- 79% of respondees had evidence of being better at managing change
- 78% had taken more responsibility
- 77.5% had evidence of greater assertiveness
- 71% had greater motivation at work
- 80.5% had increased self-esteem and confidence
- 64.5% had received favourable comments in their formal appraisal
Springboard motivates participants to give more to their work and take responsibility. It can be used for career development or general personal development.
Springboard consists of four one-day workshops spread over three
months and a 300-page workbook. Role-model speakers and networking
are other important elements. Springboard courses can take between
12 and 80 women at a time so can be very cost-effective.
The training is particularly suited to non-management grades up to first-line management. |

Men's Development Programme
|
Navigator is the first work and personal development programme designed specifically for men. It was developed by the Springboard Consultancy in collaboration with Menswork to offer the same opportunities for personal development that women access through the award-winning Springboard Women's Development Programme.
The overall aim is to enable men to assess realistically their current situation, skills and abilities, decide on the next steps for their development, and equip them with the positive attitude and skills to take those steps. Managers of participants remark that they are more realistic about their self-assessment, set clearer goals, have a more confident, mature and positive attitude, are more resourceful, communicate more effectively, accept more responsibility.

Topics covered include:

- Clarifying values
- Communicating differences
- Physical and feelings fitness
- Getting yourself across
