Privacy

This site sets no cookies and does not track you. The only personal information it collects is what you type into the contact form.

Who we are

This site is run by Syntagm Ltd, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK, which is the data controller for anything you send through it. Syntagm Ltd is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ZC263863).

The contact form

When you send a message, we keep your name, your email address, your message and the time you sent it, so that William can read it and reply. We use your email address only to reply to you about what you sent. Your message is stored on our server and emailed to William; nobody else sees it.

To stop the form being used for spam, we keep a one-way hash of your internet address (never the address itself) for up to a day, and we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the form is being filled in by a person. Cloudflare says the information Turnstile collects is used only to detect and block bots, and describes it in its Turnstile privacy addendum.

We keep messages for as long as we need them to deal with what you asked, and delete them after two years at most.

If you email us instead, at [email protected], the same applies to your message.

Mailing lists

The links to sign up for SynCaps V4 news take you to syncapsv4.com, which has its own privacy notice. Nothing you enter there passes through this site.

Visitor statistics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies or local storage and does not identify individual visitors. Like any web server, ours also keeps standard access logs, which include internet addresses; these are kept for about a week.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact form. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
